​Bunny Secrets - Tips on keeping your bunny Happy & Healthy
Just a few tips for happy, healthy bunnies I have learned along they way.

• Adding a tablespoon of pineapple juice to a 32 oz water bottle helps pass hair during molting months. Also dehydrated papaya helps with this.
  

• Adding a tablespoon of natural apple cider vinegar to one gallon of water, cuts down on the amonia smell. This method also add a bit of extra gloss to the rabbits coat, and it also has been said to improve breeding/conception.
  

• Feeding dandelion heads helps to increase food intake
  

• If you have an overweight doe that wont take to a breeding, fast her for 3 days on straight alfalfa hay. This helps cut down on the amount of fat build up on the overies.
  

• Frozen apple slices are a nice treat and provide your rabbit with a source of hydration during long trips
  

• Rabbits with runny eyes or noses due to allergies or change of weather can be given a teaspoon of Children's Benedryl in a 32 oz water bottle.
  

• Shoe sized rubbermaid containers make wonderful nestboxes for small breeds. Drill holes in the bottom for drainage. The lids can be given to other rabbits for resting to prevent sore hocks.
  

• Bananas which are high in potassium and help calm down nervous rabbits at a show. Also, draping a dark colored sheet over your carriers keeps them calm as well.
